Are you ready for this year’s Ebenezer mile?
It is once again time for the annual Ebenezer Mile, which will take place at the Mountain Yacht Club at Ebenezer Dam on March 15.
POLOKWANE – It is once again time for the annual Ebenezer Mile, which will take place at the Mountain Yacht Club at Ebenezer Dam on March 15.
Hosted by the Haenertsburg Rotary Club, the race is sanctioned by Swimming South Africa.
Those who will be competing in the 3 000 m swim will aim to qualify for Swimming South Africa. There will also be a 500 m short course and development introduction swim. No times and or places will be recorded, but certificates will be given to all finishers. There are medals, cash and product prizes to be won. Entry before the race costs R110 and R130 on the day of the race. Entry for the 500 m race costs R75. Visit www.ebenezermile.co.za to register.
The programme will run as follows:
• Event 1 – 11:00 to 11:55: mile open, female only, 13 years and younger and 31 years and older.
• Event 2 – 12:00 to 12:55: mile open, male only, 13 years and younger and 31 years and older.
• Event 3 – 13:00 to 13:55: mile open, male and female aged 14 to 30 years.
• Event 4 – 14:00 to 15:30: 3 000 m open swim, Swimming South Africa qualification event, 11 years old and older.
• Event 5 – 14:05 to 14:45: 500 m open swim, male and female, all ages, no times, no prizes.
