Polokwane bowlers ready to compete provincially
A bowling tournament at the Polokwane Bowling Club over the weekend was played to determine the bowlers who would compete in the provincial bowling tournament, which will be held at the club this weekend.
POLOKWANE – A bowling tournament at the Polokwane Bowling Club over the weekend was played to determine the bowlers who would compete in the provincial bowling tournament, which will be held at the club this weekend.
Lyn and Frank Lambert were crowned the winners of the club bowling tournament and will represent the district in the provincial tournament.
Lyn Lambert, president of the Polokwane Bowling Club said: “The club tournament went well and every team wanted to win and represent the club at the provincial tournament. I am happy to represent the club and hope to do well, proceeding to national level,” said Lambert.
She said the bowlers were committed and had a passion and love for what they did.
“We are still looking forward to accommodating young people in the sport,” she said.
Fourteen teams will take part in the provincial bowling tournament, which will be played in pairs.
