Zulu, the league’s leading goal scorer with 16 goals last featured for Lidoda Duvha in a 6-1 mauling of Sivutsa Stars on March 15, but the burly striker might be making his much anticipated comeback against United.
Since Zulu’s injury, the Kosta Papic-coached club squandered numerous scoring opportunities, and with Lidoda Duvha facing United at the back of a loss against Chippa United, Zulu’s experience can add to their attacking prowess.
Lidoda Duvha publicist, Barry Ramunenyiwa said the technical team would know of Zulu’s availability after his session with the club’s doctor.
“We cannot really say when Zulu will return to the field, but we are optimistic that he will be available sooner rather than later,” Ramunenyiwa said.
Zulu said on the National First Division show on SuperSport that he no longer felt pain in his thigh and that he was ready to play.
Lidoda Duvha are 10 points behind runaway log leaders, Chippa United after losing 1-0 to the Cape Town-based side. They will now have to consolidate their play-off spot with a win over United FC.
Zulu will also be looking forward to extend his lead on the scoring charts.
He is five goals clear of Chippa United striker, George Akpabio and with five matches before the curtain closes for the 2013/14 National First Division season, the golden boot award is still up for grabs.
