Golfers enjoy a day of great fellowship
Hosted by Mercurius Motors Polokwane, more than 110 golfers competed in the Mercedes-Benz regional golf tournament that was held at the Polokwane Golf Club recently.
POLOKWANE – Hosted by Mercurius Motors Polokwane, more than 110 golfers competed in the Mercedes-Benz regional golf tournament that was held at the Polokwane Golf Club recently.
The winners of the A division, B division and C division will compete in the national tournament, which will be held in Mauritius on a date to be confirmed later.
Should these finalists win the national tournament, they will proceed to the international round, which will be held in Germany in September.
The results of the Mercedes-Benz regional golf tournament were as follows:
A division:
1. Duane Viljoen.
2. Sebopa Mashakane.
3. Thabo Shingange.
B division:
1. Joe Mackays.
2. Ndumiso Buthelezi.
3. James Mathatho.
C division:
1. Tleane Matsobane.
2. Zack Chauenyane.
3. Charles Mdluli.
Prizes for the golfers closest to the pin were awarded to Thabo Shingange and Phil Mashakane, while Duane Viljoen and Norah Maponya were awarded prizes for the longest drives.
