The second leg of the JRC Indoor National Off-road Electric Model Car Championships took place on April 12 and 13.

POLOKWANE – The second leg of the JRC Indoor National Off-road Electric Model Car Championships took place on April 12 and 13.

More than 50 model car enthusiasts participated in the races, which took place at the Dalmada Community Hall.

“The fact that everyone enjoyed the event and the number of entries we had were the highlights of the event for me,” said Jaco van Eeden, the organiser.

Eben Coetzee clocked the fastest lap time of 20,5 seconds. Coetzee also won the two-wheel drive modified electric off-road class. Jaco van Eeden took second place in this class.

Jarod Ment took first place in the two-wheel drive stock class and the 1/10 SCT two-wheel drive class. Waldo Janse van Vuuren and Pieter van der Linde took second places in these respective classes.

Emile Hiestermann was first in the stadium stock class, with Abri Kohn in second place.

According to Van Eeden, the group will meet again in May for the next leg of the championships.
