Letaba to defend title
Letaba Rugby Club were all smiles on Saturday following their 46-0 victory against Kargo Pietersburg Rugby Club.
POLOKWANE – Letaba Rugby Club were all smiles on Saturday following their 46-0 victory against Kargo Pietersburg Rugby Club.
The match was part of the Boet Fick League and was played at the Polokwane Rugby Club.
Letaba dominated the game from the first whistle until the last, and Pietersburg could not match their standard.
Letaba is now on top of the league and they share the spot with BB Truck Noordelikes Rugby Club.
These two teams will fight for top honours on Saturday at Letaba’s home ground in Tzaneen, where Letaba will defend their league title.
Johan Smit, Letaba Rugby Club coach, said the game against Pietersburg was an easy one and players enjoyed it.
“They could not manage to match our standard, which is why we dominated the match from the first half up until the end. I think the team is doing well so far and I believe we will retain the title and be crowned winners of the Boet Fick league two times consecutively,” said Smit.
