POLOKWANE – Eric Robinson from the Capricorn Racing Club (CRC) did very well during the the fourth round of the Moto SA Short Circuit series on Saturday.

Robinson, who is also the manager of the Polokwane Short Circuit, which is the province’s only race track for cart racing and other short circuit racing formulas, took advantage of participating on his home track.

He competed in the supermoto class and did a sterling job in the first heat when he took victory from more established riders in this championship.

In the second heat, Robinson yet again gathered very useful points by finishing third.

In the third and final heat, Robinson challenged race leader, Tyrone Sterne for the lead, when he crashed into Sterne going into one of the corners.

Robinson was out of the race, and had to watch Sterne win the final heat and become the overall winner in his class, with Robinson taking third place overall.

Another local rider from CRC, Wian Naudé, also competed in the same class, and finished eighth overall.
