Team needs a helping hand

POLOKWANE – The Limpopo mixed open invitation action cricket team will participate at the National Inter-provincial Tournament and members appeal to businesses and the public to sponsor them.
According to the team’s media liaison officer, Anuschka van der Merwe, the tournament will be hosted at the Brackenfell Action Cricket Arena outside Cape Town from July 28 to August 3.
The cost of attending the tournament is an estimated R10 000 per player.
During the tournament, the team will take on all the top provincial teams in the country and the event will serve as trials for the national action cricket mixed open team.
The national action cricket mixed side will be announced after the tournament.
“We are in need of sponsorship for the journey to Cape Town, accommodation and gear for the tournament, amounting to more than R80 000,” says van der Merwe.
