Action cricket team needs sponsors
The Limpopo mixed open invitation team which will participate at the National Inter-provincial Tournament is appealing to local businesses and the public for sponsors for the tournament.
POLOKWANE – The Limpopo mixed open invitation team which will participate at the National Inter-provincial Tournament is appealing to local businesses and the public for sponsors for the tournament.
According to the team’s media liason officer, Anuschka van der Merwe, the tournament will be held at the Brackenfell Action Cricket Arena outside Cape Town from July 28 to August 3.
The cost of attending the tournament is an estimated R10 000 per player.
During the tournament, the team will take on all the provincial teams in the country, and the event will serve as trials for the national action cricket mixed open team.
The national action cricket mixed side will be announced after the tournament.
“We are in need of sponsorship for the journey to Cape Town, accommodation and gear for the tournament, amounting to more than R80 000,” says Van der Merwe.
