The award ceremony was held in Kgapane on Saturday.
Mokgoba netball and ladies soccer teams received trophies for being the best farm sporting teams in the district. Letaba Estate received a trophy for the best farm soccer team in the district, while Robert Malatji of Modjadjiskloof was awarded for being the best farm sport organiser.
The Greater Letaba Municipality received a trophy as the best organised municipality in terms of sports development. Thakgalane volleyball team received the best volleyball team in the district award.
Team coach, Peter Legodi said four players from Thakgalane were included in the provincial team to represent the province in the inter-provincial tournament in Seshego from July 4 to 12.
The department of sport, arts and culture’s coordinator of farm sport and club development in Mopani, Risimati Malungane said the purpose of the award ceremony was to motivate and encourage the recipients to work harder.
