City’s golfers tackle tough competition

POLOKWANE – Some 90 players took part in the monthly PG Glass, Ticoma, Xerox, Spar Platinum Park betterball stableford contest at the Polokwane Golf Club on November 5.
The jackpot was drawn by Rampie Smit, while Attie Buitendag and Raymond Pratt each won R550.
Riaan Koekemoer and Brandon MacDo-nald were the best golfers on the day and won first place with 49 points. May Abdul and Mohammed Dada took second place with 45 points followed by Sous Greyvenstein and Francois Goosen in third place with 44 points on a count-in.
Aart Juriaanse and Willie Marx took fourth place with 44 points on a count-out.
Piet Bronkhorst, Thabo Shingange, Piet Malherbe and Greyvenstein each won a prize in the nearest to the pin competition.
