The club received 53 gold medals, 25 silver and 19 bronze medals in the indivi-dual category and received four gold me-dals, two silver medals and one bronze medal in the relay class.
Christoff Ras and Laura Lennox received trophies for best individual performances.
The head coach, Douggie Eagar, said the swimmers did exceptionally well and he was proud of them.
“We made our opponents feel the heat and I am sure we left a mark in Mpumalanga.
“We are also ready for the South African Schools Swimming Championships, which will take place tomorrow (Friday) in Pretoria,” said Eagar.
He said Ras would not travel with them to Pretoria, as he was part of the national swimming team that would participate in the Zone 6 u/20 Youth Games. These games will be held in Zimbabwe.
Ras was selected for the national swimming team following his great performance at the national championships, which was held at the University of Western Cape from March 13 to 17.
During these championships, Ude Fuchs was selected for the national junior squad, while Ras was hand-picked for the national youth squad.
Eagar said the club aimed to produce the best professional swimmers in South Africa.
“We are ready for the South African Schools Swimming Championships and I am sure we will come home with plenty of medals,” he said.
