The Munnik Meerkat Mountain Bike Challenge, presented by the Pietersburg Rotary Club 100, will take place in Munnik on March 21, and will be a Limpopo colours qualifier.
POLOKWANE – The Munnik Meerkat Mountain Bike Challenge, presented by the Pietersburg Rotary Club 100, will take place in Munnik on March 21, and will be a Limpopo colours qualifier.
Riders have a choice of three distances: 70km, 35km and 10km.
The 70km race will start at 07:00, the 35km race at 07:30, while the 10km race will start at 08:00.
Entry costs R200 for the 70km race, R120 for the fee 35km race and R60 for the 10km race.
A day licence fee of R35 is only payable if the cyclist does not hold a valid Cycling South Africa licence.
The Pietersburg Rotary Club 100 will serve food from 06:00 so no one has to participate or watch on an empty stomach.
A beer garden manned by the South African Breweries will be available throughout the day.
One men’s and one women’s mountain bike will be up for grabs in a raffle.
The race is affiliated to P&L Cycle Club in Louis Trichardt.
The race organiser will be John van Dijkhorst. Race Time will do the official timing of the event.

A pre-registration will be held at Cycle Lab in Polokwane on March 18 from 15:00 to 18:30.
