It’s ready, steady go at 4-in-1 road race

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Athletic Club hosted the popular annual BMW 4-in-1 Marathon on the B and C rugby fields of the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

The weather conditions were unforgivable and extremely hot, but this did not deter over 1 000 runners to take part in this event.

Results:

• Men’s 42,2 km race:

1. Phuti Mohale (Pietersburg Road Runners) in a time of 2:33:44.

2. Fanie Matshipa (Samancur Chrome Marathon Club) in a time of 2:35:51.

3. Andries Malete (Polokwane Athletic Club) in a time of 2:37:33.

• Women’s 42,2 km race:

1. Jane Mudau (Pietersburg Road Runners) in a time of 3:11:14.

2. Melanie Melville (Polokwane Athletics Club) in a time of 3:16:25.

3. Pearl Hughes (Polokwane Athletics Club) in a time of 3:50:48.

• Men’s 21 km race:

1. Tebogo Pulusa (Dwarsriver Valley Athletics Club) in a time of 1:11:01.

2. Steven Mudzanani (Pietersburg Road Runners) in a time of 1:11:15.

3. Ernest Mokoo (Samancor Chrome Marathon Club ) in a time of 1:14:01.

• Women’s 21 km race:

1. Hilda Molokomme (Pietersburg Road Runners) in a time of 1:39:33.

2. Marinda Marais (Magnolia Road Runners) in a time of 1:42:34.

3. Angel Swart (Tzaneen Marathon Club) in a time of 1:44:10.

• Men’s 10 km race:
