KLG promises busy year

THE new season of the exciting Kaizer Letsoalo Games (KLG) soccer league is set to kick off on Saturday, March 7 at several venues in the greater Tzaneen area.

TZANEEN – THE new season of the exciting Kaizer Letsoalo Games (KLG) soccer league is set to kick off on Saturday, March 7 at several venues in the greater Tzaneen area.

According to the league committee, the coming season is expected to be a very busy one.

The chairperson of the KLG Sports Committee, Marupine Sape, says teams have until February 28 to affiliate with either the premier or the super division of the league.

“After the affiliation, teams will be expected to start with the registration of players and club officials immediately,” says Sape.

The premier division will comprise 18 quality teams: Manamela Naughty Boys, Leswika Classic, Golden Aces, Mogoboya Junior Chiefs, Ramalema Cosmos, Mapantsula, Lephepane Rovers, Khopo All Stars, Bubs, Real Madrid, MM Super Stars, Royal Celtic, Hotbeans, Long Valley, Rita All Stars, Napscom, Mokomotji Highlanders and Moime Liverpool.

The super division of the league will be made up of clubs such as Bancock, Carling, Moime Celtic, Monatic, Mahlogwe, Khujwana Bagdad, BokagagaJuventus, Mamogalefa, MP United and Bahlabine.

Some of the new teams expected to debut in the super division are Nabane Hotspurs-Carzorro, Ramalema Golden Birds, Tzaneen Killers and Pulaneng Juventus.

Sape says the teams that participate in the KLG soccer league this season will have the benefit of several exciting competitions spread over the year.

“In addition to the KLG Top 8 Competition, Easter Tournament and Pamo Cup, two more big tournaments will be rolled out for the affiliates of KLG sport.”

One of these events is the KLG Heritage Tournament in September. The event will be organised in consultation with local traditional leaders.
