Golf club ready to host SA u/19 boys’ challenge
Some 45 golfers battled it out during the Tops Liquor individual bonus bogey challenge that was played at the Polokwane Golf Club last Wednesday.
POLOKWANE – Some 45 golfers battled it out during the Tops Liquor individual bonus bogey challenge that was played at the Polokwane Golf Club last Wednesday.
The challenge was won by Fanus de Beer after he accumulated eight points, while Phil Masakane won second place on four points.
Willy Faver claimed the third spot on three points followed by Zipho Ngobeni with three points on a count-out.
Attie Buitendag won the prize for playing nearest to the pin at the fourth hole, while Thabo Shingange claimed the reward for playing nearest to the pin at the 11th hole.
The South African boys’ u/19 golf challenge will be played at the Polokwane Golf Club from April 5 to 12.
Polokwane Golf Club captain, Goitsemang Moseki, urged residents to support the u/19 boys. “Golf is a beautiful sport that brings people together,” he said.
