An afternoon of racing awaits at Polokwane Oval
Oval racing enthusiasts are in for a treat on Saturday when the Sprint Car Challenge hits the Polokwane Oval track at the Polokwane Showgrounds.

POLOKWANE – Oval racing enthusiasts are in for a treat on Saturday when the Sprint Car Challenge hits the Polokwane Oval track at the Polokwane Showgrounds.
During the Sprint Car Challenge, V8 motors are used and several drivers from across South Africa will compete against local driver, Andre Horn.
Well-known driver, Liza van Zyl will be one of the five Gauteng participants who will participate in the challenge with two more participants from Middelburg.
“Andre will be more than up to the challenge to give them one heck of a go,” says Marlize Weideman, secretary of Polokwane Oval.
Racers in the rookie, totrods, 1660, hotrods and 2-litre modified classes will also compete during the challenge.
The Polokwane Oval Club invites all residents to come and enjoy a fun day of racing. Gates will open at 12:00 and the racing will start at 18:00.
Entry costs R50 for adults and R20 for children younger than 13 years.
