Tanya Bronkhorst says she had fun running her first Comrades Marathon.
POLOKWANE – Polokwane Athletic Club athletes who competed in this year’s Comrades Marathon recently returned to the city, where they showed off their medals.
Athletes all had interesting stories to share about this year’s experience.
Pelly Lamola, Pieter Pretorius and Andries Malete receive silver medals at the Comrades Marathon.
Alfred Ngoasheng is a recipient of a permanent Comrades Marathon number this year.
Naphtali Molope says this was his first Comrades Marathon.
Polokwane Athletic Club athletes show off their medals: In front are Eric Ledwaba, David Kubjana, Aphiwa Manenga and Mojela Maropeng. At the back are Dereck Fourie, Melanie Mellville, Mokwena Semono, Alfred Ngoasheng and Tabudi Mabotja. They finished the race in a time of between eight and nine hours.
Vusi Ndlozi, Monica Erasmus, Ronnie Maroga, Reginald Ramporo, Santa van Heerden and Xander van Heerden all finish the Comrades Marathon in a time of between 10 and 11 hours.
These are the Polokwane Athletic Club athletes who finished the Comrades Marathon in a time of between 11 and 12 hours.
