Gymstars boys do well at Pretoria

POLOKWANE – Gymstars Gymnastics are proud of their gymnasts who set the bar high in Pretoria.

This past weekend the Gymstars boys competed in the Reach for the Stars Competition that was hosted by Eldo Stars in Eldoraigne, Pretoria.

The boys did not disappoint when they bagged 16 gold medals and six silver medals to bring back home.

The following boys from Gymstars did well in Pretoria:

• Boys aged six to seven level 1:

1. Durandt Boshoff, placed overall first.

2. AJ Galloway, placed overall second.

• Boys aged seven to eight level 2

1. Andrew Stopforth, placed overall first.

2. Andru de Beer, placed overall second.

• Boys aged nine to 10 level 2

1. Andre Cronje, placed overall first.

• Boys aged 11 to 13 level 2

1. Revern Lawrence, placed overall third.

• Boys aged nine to 10 level 3

1. Marais le Roux, placed overall first.

2. Eduard de Lange, placed overall third.

• Boys aged 11 to 12 level 3

1. JC Logtenberg, placed overall first.

2. Aljay Lucas, placed overall second.

• Boys aged 11 to 12 level 4

1. Wihan Logtenberg, placed overall first.

“The competition was a great warm up exercise for the Limpopo Championship which will be held in Louis Trichardt on August 14.

Here the Limpopo team will be chosen to represent the province at the North Zone Games,” said Gymstars Gymnastics head coach, Lelanie Logtenberg.

“The boys are working really hard and it is paying off. I hope for the best and wish them the best of luck for their next competition.”
