POLOKWANE – On Saturday the Silicon Smelters and Round Table 22 again joined forces to host the 34th edition of the Charity Golf Day at the Polokwane Golf Club.
At Friday evening’s sponsorship event for the golf day, the funds raised from the Silicon Smelters 4×4-event and angling competition earlier the year were handed over to various charities in the community.

Aucamp passes the torch to Hartman
Jan Aucamp, secretary of Silicon Smelters, has been at the helm of this annual event for the past 25 years.

“This will be the last year I’ll be responsible for the organising. I think it’s time to pass the torch of the Silicon Smelters Golf Day along with our partnership with Round Table 22.
“I am confident they will carry on the legacy and tradition of giving back to the community,” Aucamp said.
