LIMPOPO – Moletlane Texas head coach Thapelo TC Seshoka will have his work cut out to prove that his team’s recent spell of tournament victories were not strokes of luck when he leads his troops into a demanding battle on 19 December on his home turf.
His game plan will be placed under considerable scrutiny during the 2015 Moletlane Texas Softball Tournament at their local diamond in Zebediela.
Texas, who are the defending champions of this annual flagship competition, will be pleased to play in front of their fanatical home fans.
Seshoka reckons territorial advantage will have a huge positive impact on his charges who will be determined to please their friends, families the community.
“It is always a good feeling to play in front of the people who you relate with. This situation turns to ease pressure on a big day where big match temperament is a necessary requisite” Seshoka said.
Seshoka, one of the greatest shot-stop juggernauts of his generation, is blessed with abundance of talent at his disposal.
With sheer coincidence, he has inherited a formidable side that graduated from the star-studded Texas squad that unsettled many teams on the Limpopo softball landscape.
He says he is not going to change much on the team that won the Mahwelereng Spikes Memorial Tournament Earlier this year.
“My line-up that won the recent tournaments will not change considerably. They are great men who know what to do in tough battles. What please me about these men is that they are indispensible to both the defensive and offensive setups. They have been around the block and are well versed with the dynamics of big tournaments. It is for this reason that I am confident that the trophy will remain at home.”
