Limpopo will host its very first national open Fencing Tournament this weekend
POLOKWANE – Limpopo will host its very first national open Fencing Tournament this weekend.
Local fencing clubs from Limpopo will have their hands full this Saturday and Sunday as fencers from all corners of South Africa will come to compete in what will now be known as the National Limpopo Fencing Open.
There are already 100 fencers attending this event and 10 pistes for the fencers to fence on. They will also enjoy a braai at Palms Inn Guesthouse to experience the Limpopo bushveld first hand.
This event will take place in the sport complex at the University of Limpopo on Saturday and Sunday and will start at 07:00.
Limpopo has unearthed some national fencing talent over the years.
Firebird Fencing Club decided to use the opportunity to get involved with the community by asking each fencer to bring a non-perishable product that will be handed to the University of Limpopo to give to a charity of their choice.
The Limpopo Fencing Club would also like to thank the University of Limpopo for the help with hosting this event.
