Pub run is back thanks to high demand

Funny hairstyles and wigs, strange clothes and lots of laughter were all part of the Polokwane Athletic Club (PAC) Pub Run last Wednesday

POLOKWANE – Funny hairstyles and wigs, strange clothes and lots of laughter were all part of the Polokwane Athletic Club (PAC) Pub Run last Wednesday.

After a two year lay-off the popular pub run has returned thanks to high demand. The event started at the PAC clubhouse and took the form of a 3 km to 4 km run or walk with participants dressed up as hilariously as possible. Participants had to reach various waterpoints where they had to have a drink of their choice – be it alcoholic or not – before they continued on to the next waterpoint.

Each waterpoint was about a kilometre apart and runners could spend 10 to 15 minutes at each point. The even was ideal, providing a chance to not only get some exercise, but also socialise.
