Polokwane, Baroka to face off in Polokwane this weekend
All roads lead to the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex this Saturday afternoon when Limpopo-based teams, Baroka FC and Polokwane City face off derby style during their Absa Premier League match.
POLOKWANE – Judging by their recent performances respectively, it is evident that neither teams will register an easy victory against each other.
According to Baroka spokesperson, Jimmy Ngobeni, his team is ready to absorb the heat that comes with league matches, adding that all the players were injury free.
He said the team was now doing what he described as the final touches before the activities for the new season start.
“Our preparations have gone well. We had a really good pre-season and now the time has come for us to gauge ourselves against a very good team in a competitive game. I don’t think we could do more than we have; I am really happy with the sharpness of the players. We are ready”.
Polokwane City’s Chief Operations Officer, Tincy Tema, said his team was also ready for the match.
“I believe everyone is ready. The mood is good in the camp. I think the pre-season took long so everybody is ready to get onto the pitch,” said Tema.
