Polokwane hope to capitalise against Bloemfontein Celtic

Bloemfontein Celtic will have the home-ground advantage in their Absa Premier League match to host the on form Limpopo based team Baroka FC this evening at Free State Stadium.

LIMPOPO – Yesterday, Polokwane City played against Free State Stars who lost 1-0 on Saturday to Baroka.

City lost 2-0 to Ajax Cape Town over the weekend. Baroka will host Ajax Cape Town at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Baroka will come back home with maximum league points from their match against Celtic if the team’s Coach, Kgoloko Thobejane’s words are anything to go by.

Thobejane is convinced his side will give Ajax Cape Town and Celtic a run for their money despite their match against the latter will be an away game.

“As a team, we have set ourselves a target of finishing the league programme in the top teams and nothing will stop us from achieving that goal,” said the confident Thobejane.

On the other hand, Polokwane City will battle it out against Cape Town City at Cape Town Stadium on Friday.

The game is, for two reasons, expected to provide maximum entertainment.

Polokwane will broaden their chance of winning the league titles if they manage to come back home with a full set of points.

On the other hand, Cape Town will throw everything within their reach for points as the match means life or death to them.

They are occupying the sixth position on the log and losing the game may disrupt their chances of competing further.
