Nonina set to defend title against Simwaka
The title fight will take place this Saturday at Orlando in Soweto
LIMPOPO – The World Boxing Federation (WBF) bantamweight champion and Giyani Boxing Club (GBC) boxer, Bukiwe Anaconda Nonina, is set to defend her title against Ellen Simwaka from Zambia this Saturday, 21 July at Orlando in Soweto.
According to her trainer, Immanuel Muthavhatshindi, they are excited and look forward to the match-up.
“As GBC we are extremely proud of Nonina’s achievements and we are confident she will win the fight. We have been training hard day and night and we are ready to conquer the whole of of Africa,” Muthavhatshindi said.
“We call on our fans to come and support us in their numbers during the action-packed match and we thank our sponsors for making everything possible. They can rest assured we will do our best to never disappoint them.”
Mopani Mayor, Nkakareng Rakgoale, wished Nonina luck and all the best ahead of the fight, encouraging her to continue flying the Mopani flag high. Nonina was recently awarded the prestigious best female boxer award in SA.
