5th edition of popular soccer tourney
This festive season, the communities of Musunda and the neighbouring villages of Matavhela and Shakadza are eager to participate in the annual Azwinndini Tshisudzungwane Soccer Tournament.
LIMPOPO – Teams from Gauteng are also said to participate.
One of the organisers, Rotondwa Tshisudzungwane, said this year’s event is the fifth edition and will be played on 28 December at the Tshiduduni Sports Ground.
Participating teams include Musunda Football Club, Shakadza Ocean Swallows, Always Remember Home, and Gumela Football Club. Tshisudzungwane said the tournament is held in honour of the late soccer giant, Azwinndini Tshisudzungwane, and attracts people from all over the province.
“He donated almost everything he had, including his last cents, to soccer,” said Tshisudzungwane.
