Giant Killers win softball tourney
The Seleteng Giant Killers Softball Club produced a stellar game on December 26, 2021.
POLOKWANE – They won the 2021 edition of the Limpopo Softball Association (LSA)’s Lebowakgomo Wild Beasts Softball Heroes Tournament in Polokwane and the tournament was held in honour of Lebowakgomo Wildbeast heroes Polelo Masola, Tlankie Moruoa, Koketso Matlala and Bradley Sebopa.
The Killers beat the Beasts 10-4 in an emotionally-charged grand finale in front of a frenzied crowd. The tournament featured Seshego Raiders, Naledi Spiders, Sebayeng Sharks and Mamaolo Rebels, who were eliminated during the playoffs.
LSA Spokesperson Moyahabo Mabeba said they were happy to host a successful tournament which brought delight and excitement among the players and softball lovers in the province.
“We did not have many softball events last year due to Covid-19. It was good to see softball enthusiasts enjoy the tournament and festivities. Congratulations again to the Killers for winning the tournament,” he concluded.
