LIMPOPO – Black Leopards are geared up to maul Polokwane City FC in the Motsepe Foundation League match, which will be played at the Peter Makaba Stadium on Saturday.
Leopards lost 1-0 to Hungry Lions last Saturday at the Malamulele Stadium.
City played to a goalless draw against the University of Pretoria.
Anything can happen in this weekend’s fixture as the two teams will play the second matches of the soccer season.
Tshakhuma Tshamadzivhandila (TTM) will host NB LA Masia at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday.
TTM were beaten 3-0 by Casric Stars at Mpumalanga on Sunday.
Venda Football Academy (VFA) will host Platinum City Rovers on Saturday at the Thohoyandou Stadium after losing 1-0 to Magezi FC.
Black Leopards head coach Joel Masutha stated that his team had played entertaining soccer in their first league game and that their strikers had been unlucky at the goal posts.
He said that they would be working on the strikers’ target shooting.
According to him, their unbeaten record will have changed when the referee blows the final whistle on Saturday.
VFA’s Michael Loftman said that everything is going well with their preparations.
He expects his team to attack and score more goals if they wish to win the league at the end of season, he said.
“I can see players are getting more and more confident as the days progress.”
