Noordelikes urge fans to come out in numbers this weekend
Team coach Hendrick van Jaarsveldt has pleaded with rugby supporters to come in their droves to support the team as they face off against Potties Rugby Club.
POLOKWANE – The first and the second teams of Noordelikes Rugby Club will face stern competition against Potties Rugby Club in their Limpopo Rugby Union match scheduled for this Saturday at the Noordelike Rugby Club.
Johan van Ravesteyn, the deputy president of the club, said they are worried, but prepared.
“They are the toughest club in the league. They have won the league many times, but we have a strong team that can compete. The players are looking good and most of them will be available for selection. We are hoping for a strong performance.”
After the Potties match, they will host Kruinies Rugby Club in a local derby pencilled to be played at Noordelikes.
“It is our first derby of the season. We want to make sure that we put on a good show and entertain the fans.”

“We have never won against Potties, so I am hoping to make history. We have changed a lot of things in the team, and worked on our defensive frailties which have been our downfall in the past seasons. We are pumped up, we have improved on our defence and we are more aggressive. Now, all we need is more support from our fans on the day.”
