Trophies and medals for Seshego karatekas

Sensei Moloto said they were proud of the strides and the efforts made by the karatekas at the tournament.

POLOKWANE – More than 10 Limpopo Kyokushin Karate Academy students won trophies and medals at the sixth Shinkyokushinkai karate tournament recently held in Mokopane.

Senpai Koena Mokgehle walked away with a trophy for the most spirited fighter while senpai Phuti Sekwadi won the men’s under 70kg division.

Sipitsi Kgaabi took third position in the boys open division; Joe Mothata settled for second position in the boys under 40kg while Matome Modiba came third in the men’s open division.

Senpai Phuti Mokgehle won the first position for boys under 35kg and Senpai Lethabo Mochemi won the girls open division.

Sensei Moloto said they were proud of the strides and the efforts made by the karatekas at the tournament.

“They spend months in the dojo preparing for the event. We had rigorous camps ahead of the tournament, where players had the opportunity to sharpen their skills and test their endurance. We have a group of committed karatekas in the dojo. It is good that their sacrifices and hard work paid off. They continue working striving for more achievements and we commend them for representing us with pride.”
