MotN calls on all runners to enter for the Comrades qualifier
Mall of the North is calling on all age groups to enter their annual marathon Comrades Qualifier on April 6.

POLOKWANE – With prize money to the value of R100 000, Mall of the North invites runners to their annual marathon Comrades Qualifier that is to take place on April 6 starting at 06:00 in the mall’s overflow parking area.
In collaboration with Polokwane Athletics Club, the centre has partnered with sponsors Talisman Hire as cash sponsor and to ensure uninterrupted power supply and provide mobile toilets; aQuellé to keep the runners hydrated; Jacaranda FM 94.2 to keep the city updated and Hollywood Bets as cash prize sponsor.
Online entries on www.peaktiming.co.za can be done until April 2. Manual entries which include an additional R10 fee per entry will take place on April 3 to 5 at 11:00 to 18:00 at the Game court help desk.
Collection of race numbers will take place on April 5 from 11:00 to 20:00 and on April 6 between 04:30 and 05:30 at the Game court help desk. No entries will be allowed or done on the day of the race. Wheelchair athletes are also welcome to register.

A variety of food and beverages will be sold throughout the day. The mall’s marketing manager, Mari Delport told Polokwane Observer that this will be a fun race while exercising at the same time.
Categories:
• Marathon – 42.2km with a R300 entry fee and a R50 charge for a temporary licence starting at 06:00 (online entries only).
• Half marathon – 21.1km with a R200 entry fee and R50 for a temporary licence starting at 06:00 (online entries only).
• 10km run with an entry fee of R130 and a R50 temporary licence charge starting at 06:15.
• Fun run (which can also be entered by children) – 5km with an entry fee of R70 starting at 06:30.
The mall’s motto for the race is, ‘It’s not the distance you must conquer in running, it’s yourself’.
