PSL top 8 hopes for Polokwane City FC

City are currently in ninth position of the league and in need of maximum points to secure a top eight spot.

POLOKWANE – Polokwane City Football Club are pushing closer to the top eight of the Premier Soccer League following their 1-0 victory against Cape Town Spurs two weeks ago.

City are currently in ninth position of the league and in need of maximum points to secure a top eight spot.

In their remaining match of the Premier Soccer League they will face an uphill battle against Sekhukhune United, Richards Bay and Kaizer Chiefs.

Tincy Tema, club’s operations officer said they cannot afford a slip-up in the league.

“We started the season well and at some point we were in the top three. We were campaigning in the second division last season and we want to cement our authority here in the elite league. The mood in the camp is very high. The players understand the club’s objectives and all we need to do is to ensure that we win all the remaining matches. We want to finish the league in the top eight bracket and we are able to do that.”

Tema further called all their supporters to keep supporting the team in their home and away matches.

“Our supporters have been with us since the beginning of the season. We truly value and appreciate their support.”
