Northern Academy show off against Curro Heuwelkruin in league match

Curro struggled to contain the pace and flair displayed by Northern Academy, who increased their tally in the second half of the match.

POLOKWANE – Northern Academy’s u/14 rugby boys thrashed their Curro Heuwelkruin counterparts 39-12 in the the penultimate league match played at Curro on May 17.

Northern Academy started the match on a pulsating note scoring their first try in the early stages of the match, courtesy of Boohle Sedia who received a sublime pass from Moiletsi Monene.

Curro struggled to contain the pace and flair displayed by Northern Academy, who increased their tally from Junior Makofane, Tafadza Tinago, Lwandle Nkabinde and Phemelo Melo in the second half of the match.

Principal Fred Romjin said they are proud of the team’s performance.

“We are also proud to see how the sport is growing. Most learners love rugby and want to perform to their best ability in every match. The boys displayed that today. They followed the instructions to the tee, playing with passion and determination. We love to see them dishing out that kind of performance in all their league matches.”
