Mitchell House serves up success at tennis tournament

The Mitchell House intermediate phase tennis teams showcased their skills at the Rising Stars Tennis Tournament.

POLOKWANE – The Mitchell House intermediate phase tennis teams delivered impressive performances at the Rising Stars Tennis Tournament held at the Polokwane Tennis Club courts last Friday and Saturday.

The girls’ team secured a ninth place overall, while the boys’ second team achieved a solid fifth place, and the first team excelled to clinch third place in the tournament.

Rorisang Matsiela, the sports coordinator for tennis at Mitchell House, expressed satisfaction with the results, noting significant improvement from previous years.

“We had two of our boys’ teams finishing in the top five, so I’m very pleased. Our tennis is definitely improving. A big round of applause to all players for their achievements.”

The tournament highlighted the growing prowess of Mitchell House’s tennis programme and showcased the dedication and skill of its young athletes.
