VFC coach confident in relegation fight

Venda Football Club coach remains confident his team will avoid relegation, promising fans a strong finish in their remaining fixtures.

LIMPOPO – The coach of Venda Football Club (VFC), Stanford Nkoane, is confident that his club will gather enough points in their remaining matches to avoid relegation by the end of the season.

With VFC currently languishing at the bottom of the standings with only 14 points, Nkoane assured supporters that the team would not be relegated as long as he remained head coach. He urged fans to stay calm, explaining that his analysis of the remaining fixtures shows VFC can collect the maximum points in their final 11 matches – especially at Thohoyandou Stadium, where he expects their opponents to leave empty-handed.

Nkoane is also optimistic that his team will soon be competing for the league title. He noted that the players have quickly adapted to his coaching philosophy since he took over last month. Recently, VFC held the University of Pretoria to a goalless draw at Thohoyandou Stadium, and this week, they are set to face Orbit College from North West on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after being defeated by Pretoria Callies last Saturday, Black Leopards are eager to add points to their league tally when they meet JDR Stars at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Leopards’ assistant coach Joel Masutha remarked that everyone in the camp understands how crucial it is to win matches for their promotion ambitions to the elite league by season’s end.
