Courts abuzz with action padel games

Bendor Padel buzzed with excitement as SRE Padel hosted fun ladies’ and men’s tournaments, celebrating players of all levels and great sportsmanship.

POLOKWANE – Bendor Padel was buzzing with energy last Friday as players of all levels came together to compete in two fun and competitive tournaments hosted by SRE Padel.

The day kicked off with the Ladies Cappuccino Tournament in the morning, followed by the Men’s Americano Tournament in the evening.

Both events used a round-robin format where players switched up partners every round, with their individual scores being tallied to crown the champions.

The ladies kicked things off with some fantastic play.

Ladies top 3:

Celeste Nel-Fouché.
Marian Nel-Fouché.
Hilda Pretorius.

Then came the men’s tournament, where the competition heated up even more. Greg Young came out on top, securing the first-place finish, with Frikkie Eloff in second and Jaco Fourie in third.

Jaco Fourie.

The weather couldn’t have been better for a day of padel, and everyone had a blast. Whether it was about getting some friendly competition or just enjoying the sport, the vibe was amazing all day long.

Ernest Faver from SRE Padel shared his thanks to everyone who participated: “It was awesome to see so many people, from beginners to experienced players, come out and join us. A huge thanks to all who took part and made the day so special. Big congrats to our winners, and we can’t wait for the next one!”

For those who want more action, don’t forget about the ongoing Business League every Wednesday evening – it’s open to spectators, so come and watch some great games. The Ladies League kicks off on April 8 – mark your calendars!
