Seshego marathon draws over 1 500 participants

Over 1 500 runners, including 548 police officers, took part in the Seshego half marathon and Your Kasi Mania 2025 races.

POLOKWANE – A total of 548 police officers and over 1 000 community members participated in the Seshego national half marathon and Your Kasi Mania 2025.

While the half marathon of 21.1km started at 06:00 in the township the 50km race started in Mankweng half an hour earlier.

Provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe and Polmed principal officer Neo Khuaoe led the marathon joined by police officers from elsewhere.

KwaZulu-Natal fielded the most runners with 140 police officers, followed by Limpopo with 109 runners, and then head office with 84.

21.1km – Men
1. Thanang Masihleho.
2. Rirhandzu Rhangani.
3. Ananius Masila.

50km – Women
1. Gladys Jepchirchir.
2. Mamala Anna Maponya.
3. Geneva Raphahla.

50km – Men
1. Tiisetso Mokhoma.
2. Eriku Esito.
3. Lutendo Mapoto.
