Dream Chasers bring hoop dreams to life in Polokwane

Dream Chasers Basketball Academy hosts Triple Threat Classic 2026 in Polokwane, showcasing u/14 and u/18 talent, teamwork, and basketball growth.

POLOKWANE – Dream Chasers Basketball Academy recently hosted an electrifying Triple Threat Classic 2026 tournament at PEPPS, bringing together young talent from various schools in Polokwane, for a day of competitive action.

The event featured u/14 and u/18 teams from the host, Dream Chasers Basketball Academy, going head-to-head with Solomondale Pacers – School of Hard Knocks and Pax College Basketball teams.

Founder Donald Chinwa said the tournament highlighted the academy’s commitment to developing young athletes and promoting a love for basketball.

“It was a showcase of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship, with both teams bringing their A-game to the court. It was a thrilling experience for players, coaches and spectators alike.”

He said the Triple Threat Classic reflects the academy’s dedication to creating opportunities for growth and competition among young players.

He expressed pride in all participants, saying the event was about more than just results.

“Today was about more than just winning or losing – it was about growth, teamwork and heart. You stepped up, played with passion and represented Dream Chasers with pride.

“Let’s take what we’ve learned and keep pushing forward, keep chasing those dreams,” he said.

Dream Chasers promotes teamwork and grassroots growth

Chinwa also highlighted his broader vision of growing basketball at grassroots level.

“We are working to grow basketball in schools and across the city, encouraging more young boys to join, build stronger teams and eventually represent the province and the country,” he said.
