Multiple teams fined by Makhado Local Football Association

Disciplinary committee issues fines to local football clubs, including Northern Brothers, Real Hearts, and Thembisa Las Vegas.

LIMPOPO – Several teams affiliated with the Makhado Local Football Association were handed fines following disciplinary committee (DC) hearings held on March 27.

Several teams fined for misconduct

Matsa Northern Brothers were found guilty of attempting to assault a referee during their match against Simon Young Stars.

They were fined R3 000, including R2 000 for the abandonment of the game, with R1 000 suspended.

Midoroni Real Hearts were also fined R3 000 after a referee was assaulted during their match against Tshikwarani Tornado.

The fine included R2 000 for abandoning the game after invading the field, with R1 000 suspended.

Fines for improper player registrations and safety violations

Tshiswenda Cliffside received a R3 000 fine for fielding an improperly registered player in their match against Matsa Happy Fighters, while Thembisa Las Vegas were fined R3 000, with R1 500 suspended.

Mabidi TK’s United were found guilty of failing to provide a safe playing environment and were fined R3 000, with R1 500 suspended.

Tshituni Savage Kingdom were fined R3 000 for fielding a player not listed in their squad, while Mavhunga RDP Hungry Lions were fined R2 000, with R1 000 suspended, for failing to provide a safe and suitable field during their match against Matanda Azania FC.

The result stood in favour of Mavhunga.

Divhani United Stars were fined R2 000 for fielding an improperly registered player.

Abandoned matched lead to additional penalties

Thembisa Las Vegas and Donkerhoek Black Aces were both found guilty of abandoning a match. Each team was fined R3 000, with R2 000 suspended, and ordered to pay R1 000 within 30 days.

The match will be replayed at a neutral venue to be determined by the association.

Thembisa Las Vegas were also fined an additional R3 000 for a separate abandoned fixture.

Tshikwani Development were fined R2 500 for abandoning a game, with the result standing 1-0 in favour of Tshiozwi.

Repeated offences and non-attendance fines

Mashau Citizens were fined R2 500 for fielding improperly registered players, while Mabidi TK’s United were again fined R3 000, with R1 500 suspended, and forfeited three points and three goals.

Sundani City Rovers were fined R3 000 for failing to attend the disciplinary hearing.
