This emerged during the group’s visit to the city on Friday to promote their new album, The Revival, which was released in November.
Siphiwe “Picat” Sibeko said the group would remain as it was. “Lesley’s sprit will remain with us. It is not easy to replace a founding member,” said Picat.
The group was established 18 years ago with five members, two of whom left to pursue other careers.
Thabo “Crazy T” Tsotetsi said the duo will release another album later this year dedicated to the memory of Les Maada.
Alaska has been nominated in the 13th Metro FM Music Awards, which will be held in Durban on March 1.
