SESHEGO – KHOMOTJO “No Peace” Sebone (30) from Seshego zone 2, is a master behind the canvas and behind the microphone.
The artist and hip hop musician says he fell in love with painting at a very early age.
He holds a national diploma in performing arts technology (entertainment technology) from Tshwane University of Technology.
“I have always loved to draw. But I never took it seriously until I went to varsity and I have been painting professionally since 2004,” says No Peace.
He says he is inspired by life itself, “the beautiful and the ugly side of life”.
“I try to find the link between the positive and negative of life and bring the balance. My biggest wish is to have my own studio and to host art exhibitions in the province. This will help aspiring artists in the province to showcase their work,” he says.
“Painting has always been in my veins and I started drawing when I was a child. I started to focus more on my work with care and professionalism. This is a very interesting industry and we are living in a changing environment, where technology is also changing and in order to survive, you must be creative and know your story.”
No Peace says he will release his debut album next year, which is mixture of Afro-jazz, rocks and African blues.
He says tracks on the album include Struggle of Self, Rechabele Kae, Dinonyana, No peace and Bus Mars.
“The album is dedicated to all my fans to thank them for their support, motivation and words of encouragement.
“As I am a local artist I want to create my brand in my community,” says No Peace.
