POLOKWANE – THEATRE lovers gathered at the Library Gardens auditorium recently for the two-day recording of a live DVD of Paul Rapetsoa’s stage production Get Down Ke Tsona, which is based on the culture of learning and teaching in South Africa.

Matome Rapetsoa of Mahuma Arts and Communications, said the main objective of recording the DVD was to reach people in rural areas who have no access to theatre facilities.

“We wanted to bring back the culture of the bioscope.

The aim is to also raise awareness about the importance of education and the commitment of teachers.

We want to encourage parents to take part in their children’s school work and activities,” said Rapetsoa.

He said the recording was a success and thanked all those who were part of it.
