Fish, chips combo leads to mobility

THE purchase of a small fish and chips combo at The Fish & Chip Co in Mokopane led to Daniel Molokomme, a 22-year-old mechanical engineering student and resident of Mokopane, becoming a car owner after he was announced the winner of The Fish & Chip Co competition.

MOKPANE – THE purchase of a small fish and chips combo at The Fish & Chip Co in Mokopane led to Daniel Molokomme, a 22-year-old mechanical engineering student and resident of Mokopane, becoming a car owner after he was announced the winner of The Fish & Chip Co competition.

Molokomme said he did not for a moment think that he would win a car when he purchased his fish and chips combo.

“It still feels like I need to be woken up from a dream,” he said.

This was the second competition held by the Fish & Chip Co, in conjunction with Coca-Cola, that gave the winner of the competition mobility.

“Giving away a car is a phenomenal experience and it is a dream competition for anyone to enter. We are so pleased to have been able to create this opportunity for both winners,” Jan de Beer, managing executive of The Fish & Chip Co, said.

The Mokopane community shared in Molokomme’s joy last Wednesday when he received the keys to his prize at the Mokopane store. “I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to The Fish & Chip Co. I have always loved their food and have supported them for many years. Now I am sure we will be lifetime partners!”
