LOUIS TRICHARDT – Ndivhudzannyi “Makhadzi” Ralivhona is only 18 years old, but recently released her fourth album.
Last Tuesday, Makhadzi introduced her new album, Muhwalo Uya Ndemela, with a concert at Machemma Butchery in Louis Trichardt.
Her first three albums were Muvhango (2009), Ndo Tshinya Ni? (2011) and Litshani u Ntsala Murahu (2012).
Residents clearly enjoyed Makhadzi’s music and even started to dance in the street.
According to Makhadzi’s manager, Rita Dee, her fourth album was released on December 1.
“In this album, she ta-ckles issues of womanhood and the problems that every woman faces. She likes to sing songs that come from everyday life experiences in most women’s lives. For example, she sings about a woman who marries a man and who gets all the presents her heart desires. She gets a car, a house and everything she wants, but no love,” explained Rita.
Makhadzi is a resident of Mashamba-Tshivhangani and finished gr. 12 at Mukula Integrated High School this year.
“She is young, but her lyrics are inspirational in that they encourage liste-ners to have good relations with all people,” said Rita.
Makhadzi composed and produced all the songs on her albums.
