Albert more than just a model
THE multi-talented actor and model, Albert Mokgalapa (22), says he wants it all.

SESHEGO – THE multi-talented actor and model, Albert Mokgalapa (22), says he wants it all.
There seems to be no end to his talent, and he wants to explore them all by acting, modelling, and directing and producing movies.
Mokgalapa, who is from Seshego, first made people stand up and notice him when he played the lead role in a play, Skhothane, which was performed at the University of Limpopo’s (UL) arts centre in 2013.
He holds a BA degree in communication studies from the UL. He said he started acting at a very young age and had not stopped since then because he was passionate about acting.
The adoration he receives from people who watch his performances motivates him to keep on going. “I am fortunate to have studied acting while I was in varsity. Playing different roles has helped me grow as an artist and today I can take any role with confidence. One can never learn enough, though, and I still have room to learn new things,” he said.
He further said he had also starred in some local productions, which he had co-directed and produced.
Mogkalapa loves theatre and would like to work with some of the best actors in the country on a theatre production.
He said while he was delighted with his achievements so far, his biggest dream was to venture into theatre. “I enjoy live performances because I get to connect with the audience and know when they are relating to me,” he explained.
“I love to see them react to my character and show their emotions,” he said.
He also modelled for some local fashion designers, he said. “I love fashion and dressing up. I also keep up with fashion trends to stay relevant; looking good on the outside makes me feel good on the inside.”
He said when the opportunity to do modelling came he was thrilled.
Mogkalapa advised people who were in the entertainment industry to study so that if things did not go well, they would have a different career to fall back on.
