COMEDIAN Mashabela Galane had his audience in stitches at a comedy night at the University of Limpopo's Tiro hall on Friday.
POLOKWANE – COMEDIAN Mashabela Galane had his audience in stitches at a comedy night at the University of Limpopo’s Tiro hall on Friday.
The event organiser, Noah Maake of Internal Assets of Hope, said they wanted to bring a variety of entertainment to the area.
“We decided to host a comedy show as most of the locals are used to music shows,” said Maake.
He said comedy helped to release stress and he wanted to help the students relax.
“This is also a way of giving back to the community. The company hosts events of this nature so that we can assist the needy and those who are vulnerable in society,” he said.
Pinkie Kgaditse and Fulufhelo Thema, who attended the comedy show, said they enjoyed themselves.
“Mashabela is a great comedian. I didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to see him live on stage,” said Thema.
Mashabela, who is based in Gauteng, said he was always happy to be back home.
“People here relate well to my jokes and they understand the language, so it’s easy for me to know what makes them laugh.”
