The i10 1,25 Fluid, also deposit free, will cost R2 099 per month.
Both the 1,1 Motion and the 1,25 Fluid models come with a 72-month instalment period with a 30% residual value at an 11,25% interest rate.
An extensive list of features is found in the 1,1 Motion manual derivative, including:
• Bluetooth connectivity for telephone calls.
• Streaming music through the audio system, which includes MP3 and CD playing abilities.
• Air-conditioner with an anti-bacterial pollen filter.
• Fog lights in front.
• Electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors.
• Electrically winded windows all round.
• Intermittent function for the windscreen wipers.
With a measured fuel consumption of 5,7 litres per 100km from its 1 086cc petrol engine, this small hatchback is ideal on the open road too.
The 1,1 Motion feeds the power to the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. The single overhead cam 1,1 litre engine, with figures of 50kW at 5 500rpm and 99Nm at 4 500rpm is only used in conjunction with a five-speed manual gearbox.
The double overhead cam 1,25 litre engine delivers 64kW at 6 000rpm and its peak torque is 120Nm at 4 000rpm, which is found in the i10 1,25 Fluid model.
Fuel consumption of the i10 1,25 Fluid can be as low as 4,7 litres per 100km, while the i10 1,1 Motion can register a consumption of 4,8 litres per 100km.
The well-tuned suspension, in tandem with a motor driven power assisted rack and pinion steering system, makes the i10 a pleasurable small car to drive with solid road-holding and predictable road manners even when the driver gets caught in a tight spot.
For the driver’s comfort, the steering wheel can tilt up or down and remote controls on the three-spoke steering wheel makes adjustment of the audio system easy and safe without moving one’s hand from the wheel. The driver’s seat height is also adjustable to find the most comfortable driving position possible.
The Hyundai i10 1,1 Motion manual runs on 165/60 R14 tyres fitted to 14 inch steel rims with attractive and durable hubcaps. A full size spare wheel can be found under the rear cargo floor cover.
The rear seat backs can fold down in a 60:40 split, which makes it possible to increase the standard cargo space of 225 to 910 litres with the seats down.
Hyundai Automotive SA’s standard five-year or 150 000km warranty comes with both these pre-owned i10-models and service plans are optional extras.
