POLOKWANE – The University of Limpopo (UL) will host their first Run Turf: Pens Must Fall bash at the UL Gate 2.

“This bash will serve as a way of creating unity among our local artists. It will also give them a platform to express their talents.

“We look forward to seeing incredible talent, some of which are from deep in the rural areas of our province. Run Turf is a movement which aims to address social, spiritual, and intellectual factors faced by youths and uplifting talented artists in helping them get the exposure they need,” said the organiser, Thato Sekhu.

The entry fee for the concert is R50 for individuals and R100 for groups.

“The winners stand a chance to walk away with an annual endorsement contract, photo shoot, brand image makeover and a cash prize,” Sekhu added.

The celebration is themed: Pens Must Fall, and there will be an after party at Experia, just off-campus. Everyone is welcome to attend. Poetry, music and dancing sessions will also feauture.
