Munghana Lonene gets new look with logo

Munghana Lonene FM recently changed the station's logo

POLOKWANE – Munghana Lonene FM recently changed the station’s logo.

According to station manager, James Shikwambana, the old logo was not relevant to the station’s market anymore, and was old and complicated.

“We checked the latest trends and markets and then we decided it was time for a change. Simplicity is the way to go,” he said.

Shikwambana explained the story behind the logo: “when you turn it upside down it represents a mortar, which the Va-Tsonga people use to make food with. When the logo is put up straight it shows a hole, which represents the future, the two arrows pointing forward mean never forget where you come from or where you are going. Lastly, the arrows also illustrate the words, Makomba Ndlela, which means direction”.

He added that the station gave direction to the listeners through programmes about education, sports and music.
